The INFAMOUS Kylie Jenner

I hope we can all agree that the Kardashian franchise has the honor of bringing Kylie Jenner into fame. Also in the running for making her famous is Caitlyn Jenner, formally know as Bruce Jenner (olympic athlete/Kris Kardashian's ex-husband). Anyway on to Kylie Jenner and her makeup product endeavor. She's been recognized in the makeup/social media world doe having envy worthy lips. Therefore to expand her brand and solidify her fame, she created the Kylie Cosmetics. She has launched "lip kits" which include a lipstick and lip liner in three different color. All for the grand total of $29.00 plus taxes and shipping. Her website launched and Kylie's products "broke the internet", just like her half-sister Kim Kardashian. I succumbed to being basic and giving into the Kardashian franchise and bought not one, but three lip kits, the first colors to come out.

I absolutely hate to admit this but, I don't hate the product. Honest and as unbiased as I can be, they're good. Not the best liquid lipsticks but definitely better than others in her status in the market. Application was smooth, product wasn't runny, lasts long, water resistant, and highly pigmented. Yes I would purchase again. She's coming out with metallic matte liquid lipsticks. That's something I've wanted since LimeCrime cosmetics came out with a perfect gold matte liquid lipstick. I refuse to buy from that company, I hope Kylie's is as good as she and I hope it to be.

Beauty Blender vs. Real Techniques

I've always stuck to what I know, pink Beauty Blender.

But I've been watching all my favorite beauty bloggers using the Real Techniques sponge.

I decided to give it a shot, turns out it's the less expensive version of the Beauty Blender, otherwise known as a "dupe".

Dupe means that it's the same thing but not. I don't have a favorite because both do the exact same thing. Just the price is different. I feel that applying my foundation with sponges gives me a non streaky look that brushes give me. I have four brushes specifically for foundation and none of them leave me with the results I want. So therefore I'm still on the hunt for the right brush that leaves my skin as flawless as the sponges.

Skincare on crack

I somehow got stuck with adult acne. It's so depressing. In high school I never had the worry of having an unnerving pimple. As soon as I turned 22 (3 years ago) I began experiencing pimples randomly, nothing too crazy. Then all of a sudden I found myself with uncontrollable pimples and went to the dermatologist. She gave me the news I had adult acne and prescribed me topical medication. Basically it's heavy duty pimple killer, dried out my skin like the desert. I started trying different skin care routines. Finally I found a routine that worked for me. Cleanse, tone, and moisturize twice a day. After trial and error with many products the one that's stuck the longest and continues to work wonders is a cleanser by First Aid Beauty. The exact name is Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser With Red Clay, it's magical. Seriously though, magical, smell, consistency, and results are like nothing I've ever used before. I haven't stopped using it for about a year now and my skin has a few break outs here and there. But with this cleanser and a few other products I've managed to maintain my clear skin.

Stila and the All day liquid lipstick

If you're like me glosses are just a no go! I'm a big fan of splurging on high quality lipsticks. Bacca by Stila promises everything under the sun. I tried out this weekend and it lasted through a steak dinner. The color is beyond unique I've never seen one that wears the way it does in my life! Love everything about it, has a matte finish, and isn't runny. I am in love with this lipstick!

Charlotte Tillbury

Hello all! I was going through my Instagram feed to find some inspiration for new makeup looks. I came across a foundation that looked absolutely flawless! Did some more investigating and found that it was Charlotte Tillbury's Magic Foundation. I ordered it off the ever so handy Beautylish. The magic foundation got here in record time, two days! Initially I thought the foundation was a bit to dark by comparing it to foundations I use regularly. But once I applied it blended well into my skin. The finish wasn't matte but it also wasn't dewy. It was the best mix between the two. I went under multiple different lighting and not once did it look like it was too dark. But just to stay on the safe side I purchased a color less dark. I'll have a swatch next time for both once I get the new one.

Update on MannyMua

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you guys know I got my hands on the MakeupGeek Manny Palette and used it this weekend. It was worth the wait and trouble getting it. The eye shadows are very pigmented and true to the color you see. I was surprised how easily the glitter shades blended with the matte shades. I would definitely recommend this palette to anyone interested in buying something different than the usual colors. Shipping took two days so although the wait to purchase it was long, once that part was done it was practically in my hands.

MannyMua Fail

As I mentioned last week, I was thrilled to purchase MannyMua collaboration with MakeupGeek palette. In one word, deception, is all I can think of. The launch for this palette was done so poorly; I'm not sure how he expects people to continue supporting him. He had stated the palette would be on sale at 2pm on the 24th of February. That did not happen, because MakeupGeek gave there email subscribers early access. Therefore not enough units were available to the general public. This palette is limited edition, but they promise there will be more made and be available for sale this upcoming week. I'm still undecided on whether or not to waste my time trying to purchase this palette. Nedless to say I'm disappointed.
