A little about the nightmare before makeup

I've always had a passion for makeup. But I barely started applying it correctly two years ago. In high school I went through the typical phase of wearing blue mascara, glitter eye shadow, and lip gloss. I'd like to say I've come a long way from there. Throughout high school I had a series of unfortunate makeup applications. Thankfully now, I have more of an idea on how to do my makeup without looking like a clown. After over 1,000 minutes of youtube channels and reading magazines, I've come to grow my knowledge on makeup. Youtube has allowed me to connect with more with other makeup lovers and makeup gurus. I also follow them on other social media mediums. For example, I follow makeup gurus and artists on Instagram and Twitter. Instagram and Twitter have proven to be the best way to keep updated on new trends going on around the world. I have my favorite makeup artists and gurus that will be later disclosed. I don't know everything about makeup to consider myself a makeup artist or guru, but I know that I have some basic understanding of the wonders of makeup.
